Non-Sedation Anti-Anxiety ProtocolMany people feel anxious about going to the dentist, whether it is for a cleaning or a full mouth reconstruction. We offer soothing amenities such as in-chair massagers and CD headsets with relaxing music to reduce your anxiety. However, the most effective pampering we can do is to give you the personal attention you deserve. We are always as gentle as possible and our team works hard to let you know what to expect from your experiences in our office as we build a relationship of trust. Many patients who once needed sedatives for dental care find they no longer need them in our office! However, for those who truly need pharmacologic help to reduce their anxiety, we are happy to prescribe an oral anxiolytic. This is a little pill you take one to two hours before your dental appointment to help you relax. Many of our patients snore through their appointments! Laughing GasFor both adults and children, we offer nitrous oxide, or laughing gas, to ease your anxiety. When scheduling appointments, please let us know any specific fears you have and any way we can make your visits with us more comfortable and pleasant. |
