FAQsQ. What symptoms does TruDenta resolve?
A. The majority of the patients we treat suffer from headaches, migraines, face/jaw pain and other recurring discomforts of the head, neck, mouth and jaw. Q. What can cause the symptoms resolved by TruDenta?
A. Improper or unbalanced forces within the head, neck and jaw can be caused by a number of factors. These include dental work, posture, accidents, head trauma and many other conditions. Q. What procedures are included in the TruDenta exam?
A. The TruDenta exam includes the use of two unique, patented technologies. In about five minutes, your TruDenta dentist can provide you with important, objective, diagnostic information, which may help identify the causes of your symptoms. The first device measures the opening and closing of the mouth and the bite forces within the head, neck, jaw and mouth. These detailed measurements even calculate the forces on a tooth-by-tooth basis''both in motion and at rest. Once completed, the digital bite force analysis provides a graphic display of the forces and balances within the mouth. The second device measures the range of motion of the head and neck and instantly mathematically calculates a patient's deviance from normal motion. This can be the sign of various conditions. Your doctor will also perform a detailed head, neck, mouth, jaw and tooth examination to further identify any potential problems. When combined, these proprietary and comprehensive exam methods can show a doctor and a patient the potential problem areas which may be leading to a patient's unique symptoms. No other dentists in the world are equipped with this unique combination of diagnostic tools and education that are able to lead to immediate symptom resolution for many patients. Q. What is the purpose of the TruDenta questionnaire?
A. An examination begins with a questionnaire. It is important to understand what issues and specific symptoms you may be experiencing. It is also important to understand their causes, including accidents or problems going back many years. The more your TruDenta doctor knows about you and your history of dental, head and neck issues the more likely it is that that they will be able help their patients relieve recurring symptoms. Q. What is the TruDenta treatment process?
A. After completing an exam and diagnosis, your doctor may prescribe a personalized program of therapy and rehabilitation designed to lead to lasting symptom resolution. The TruDenta treatments are painless and drug and needle free. A trained specialist within the dental practice primarily performs the treatments, which utilize technologies originally designed for sports medicine rehabilitation therapy. Q. How long do the treatments take?
A. Many patients are amazed at the relief they feel after their very first treatment. TruDenta treatments last about 50 minutes. Depending upon the severity of the diagnosis, patients require from one to twelve treatments, completed weekly. Thus a patient with the most severe diagnosis could achieve lasting relief from their symptoms in about three months. Q. What will I experience after the first treatment?
